Eastern Air Services is a family-owned airline service based in Port Macquarie.
We meet the Regular Public Transport (RPT) standard, which allows us to carry commercial passengers on our planes.
Our services include:
- Regularly scheduled flights to Lord Howe Island and return
- Charter flights to anywhere in Australia, including all Australian Islands
- Learn to Fly School with experienced Instructors for all stages of pilots
- Scenic flights from Port Macquarie or Lord Howe Island, including Whale Watching flights
- Air Freight services to anywhere in Australia
In the aeroplane category, only a few operators in Australia meet the higher Regular Public Transport (RPT) airline standard, and Eastern Air Services is one such operator.
Commercial passenger transport is divided into (RPT) and Charter operations. The RPT standard is the highest approval that the Civil Aviation Safety Authority issues, and all major airlines must meet it.
The higher standard requires EAS to adopt many additional programs, such as safety management systems, human factors training, pilot training and checking every six months, and a more comprehensive maintenance system.
